PEGS Planning and Environmental

PEGS (Planning and Environment Griffith Students) is a social student club formed around students who have an interest in the environment.  From science, engineering, planning, arts to law, everyone recognizes the significance of environmental issues.

We aim to keep members informed about local, regional, and international events, as well as fostering a social support network of like-minded students.

As an affiliated student club, we can use our numbers to gain a voice on campus, as well as enjoying benefits of guild-sponsored events. We have several functions over the study year, commencing with our awesome camping trip to South Stradbroke Island on 13-15th March, and culminating in our classic end of year graduation party in November.

Our meetings take the form of a free lunchtime BBQ, wherein we discuss upcoming events and general business.  Our first meeting (and AGM) is scheduled for week 3, where we will call an election for committee members.

All are invited to nominate and participate, and a healthy representation cross-section of all faculties is our aim. PEGS will be represented at most O week activities and feel free to approach us with your enquiries.  The bottom-line is that we are non-profit, with all monies invested in member benefits and activities.

By joining PEGS you gain access to fun social activities, relevant environmental information, and on-going fraternal network which may prove useful when you hit the workforce.

Sign up for our 'not to be missed' camping trip now as your first step towards an interesting year ahead on campus.
