The GUGC Kite Club provides members with the opportunity to learn kite surfing and stand up paddle surfing (SUP) in a safe environment and socialise with fellow students.  The club provides an alley to learn new, exciting and unique sports that capitalise on the benefits of the Gold Coast – sand, ocean, wind and lovely people.  Members can use the club trainer kite for free and receive discounted kiteboarding and SUP lessons (equipment supplied).  Furthermore, the club will organise ‘down-winders’ and a trip to the 2011 Kiteboarding Nationals at Alva Beach.  The social aspect of the club is represented by member BBQ’s, road, boat and cable-park trips, as well as getting out on the water together and having a good time.  Members also receive some great discounts on equipment sales.  Overall, the GU Kite and SUP Club is a great club to get involved in and enhance your time at Griffith Uni.
