University Games and Championships are inter-university sporting competitions involving universities from all over Australia. They are a great opportunity to represent your university and meet people from all over the country as well as people with whom you share a campus - an experience definitely not to be missed while you are at uni! To be eligible to represent Griffith University Gold Coast (GUGC) you must be a currently enrolled student.

- Northern University Games, 1-5 July, Lismore NSW
- Australian University Games, 23-28 September, Adelaide, SA
- Snow Sports Championships, 26-30 August , Mt Buller, VIC
Other events on offer include dragon boats, triathlon, rowing, distance running and twenty20 cricket championships. Whilst not typically represented by Griffith, students are able to compete should minimum numbers be reached or teams specifically formed.
